Satan was originally an angel of God. His sole purpose was to worship the Lord God Almighty and to do His work. Satan wanted more, and desired to be equal to or greater than God. For this reason, God kicked Satan and his followers out of Heaven.
Satan and his followers now lives in Hell, but roam the Earth tormenting man and enticing man to follow him rather than God. For the same reason that Satan was kicked out of Heaven, all men who allow Satan to entice them to follow Satan's ways (i.e. Sin) are condemned to Hell just as Satan was.
But God wants better for you!
Jesus died for our sins and all men who believe in Him will be saved and will return to Heaven and the Holy presence of the Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
You can defeat Satan and the temptation to do wrong
by believing in and loving the Lord Jesus Christ!
